"Saying no to Swearing in Public"

The campaign “Saying no to Swearing in Public” was launched in Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam. We aim at young people, both male and female, whose age ranges from 20 to 30 year olds because it is the period a large number of Vietnamese get married and have children. Most of them are workers and have middle income. Swearing is recognized as negative influence on children. This is the reason why the campaign focuses on parents. We also have an ambition to ensure our next generation will receive a civilized city in the future.

When you were young, you always wanted to express your personality, to show that you had grown up and to prove your freedom through many ways, some of which are negative, such as swearing. But now, you become mature, get married and then have children, you need to change this behavior. Swearing can affect the development process of your lovely kids. As their parents, you have a responsibility to protect and give them a positive growing environment. The campaign “Saying no to Swearing in Public” will create motivation to make you quit this bad habit.

There is a truth that when you swear, you also express your anger. You believe that your kids cannot understand these words because they are too small. But the fact is they do. When kids see your anger, a thing called stress reaction appears and it makes them have some bad behaviors such as fighting and screaming. This is the reason why you better control your displeasure in public places to ensure kids do not annoy people around.
